More ABOUT Mikky

Mikky Daub's yoga journey officially began in a Fargo, ND YMCA with a "Yoga in Motion" class when she was 15 years old. She would attend yoga classes a handful of times each month on and off until going to college. As she pursued her BFA in Graphic Design and Minor in Art History, she completed 5 semesters of yoga (including Yoga & Meditation, Yoga I, Yoga II, and Power Yoga) at NDSU and then MSUM. These classes included information on the history of yoga, Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga and had hints of tantra, partner yoga, Thai bodywork, and kundalini yoga.

In 2011 her teacher suggested that Mikky consider becoming a teacher herself! Pursuing a path in graphic design instead, she finally answered the call to teacher training in 2018 when she studied under the Swami Rama Himalayan Lineage at Radiant Life Yoga in Minneapolis. Shortly after, Mikky saw a need for quality in-home yoga in Minneapolis and the Greater Twin Cities area and Private Yoga Minneapolis came to life!

After graduating from teacher training Mikky immediately began teaching studio classes, community classes, and private yoga. She is known for her inclusive and adaptive teaching style, which offers plenty of pose variations, intuitive hands-on adjustments, breathwork, and extended savasana meditations (that have soothed people to sleep on a regular basis)! Don't be surprised if she weaves in her love of mantra, philosophy, self-study, moon wisdom, oracle cards, and dharma talks.

Mikky is constantly reading, practicing, and researching all things wellness, yoga, and beyond. She strives to honor and explore the roots of yoga while creating a welcoming and inspiring experience for all.

Mikky's sincerest hope is that each session leaves you feeling how you want to feel, whether it's calm, balanced, strong, focused, clear, or supported -- so you can show up in the world and for the people you love.
